Evidently the President was exceptionally inspired by the Bastille Day parade he saw a year ago in Paris. In his most recent exhibition of being “The Donald”, Trump has entrusted the Pentagon with assembling an amazing military parade, finish with warriors walking and tanks moving down the avenues of Washington, D.C., two authorities informed the Washington Post.
For fear that you think this story is phony or only talk, soon after WaPo distributed its story, Sarah Huckabee Sanders affirmed that the parade is being arranged saying, “President Trump is incredibly supportive of America’s great service members who risk their lives every day to keep our country safe,” Sanders said in a statement. “He has asked the Department of Defense to explore a celebration at which all Americans can show their appreciation.”
No official date for the parade is announced yet and this recent move has garnered mixed reactions from everybody not just in the capital, but throughout the country. A few lawmakers are shooting down the possibility of a great military parade. Democratic Rep. Jackie Speier of California said during an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Tuesday, “I was stunned by it to be quite honest, I mean, we have a Napoleon in the making here.”
Financing for the proposed parade remains an open inquiry. The US government would in all likelihood burn a huge amount of money to transport vehicles and hardware to Washington for the occasion, costs that would come when military financing is as of now a point of arrangement.
